School News

The year fives went to the S.S Great Britain on Wednesday 16th of November. They went to learn about what life was like on board the ship. They went on a guided tour with Captain Bob. They saw the cabins, the weather deck, the saloon deck, the dining room, the kitchen, the toilets and the ill maid. They also learnt that life was hard as hungry rats nibbled at people’s feet. Class five enjoyed a workshop where they investigated the lives of the passengers on board using different clothes and fact files to discover who they were and where they were going. We interviewed Annabelle Scott. ‘I really liked the way all the mannequins were set up and the way they made different noises.’ Year five really enjoyed their day at the S.S Great Britain and would love to go again!
